The Scenic Highway 14 area is an ideal base camp for fishermen seeking world class bass and trout fishing.

Both Buffalo National River and Crooked Creek are designated as blue ribbon streams for trophy smallmouth bass.
The White River is a world-class trout stream. Trophy rainbow and brown trout are common. It is a destination for fly fishermen. Trout are also common in the lower reaches of the Buffalo River from the confluence with the White River upstream to Rush Landing.
Bull Shoals lake is second to none as a trophy bass fishing lake.
